Simple Glam Girls Lush Rose Gold Oval Brushes

Hello Beauties. Today I would like to talk about brushes. Have you noticed that oval brushes are the craze? Have you thought are they really worth all of that? Well let me tell you about these Gorgeous Lush Rose Gold Oval Brushes by Simple Glam Girl

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on these beauties to review. I have never used Oval Brushes before so I had no clue what to expect. My stipple brush seamed to work just fine for me.

My first impression: these brushes are beautiful! The design is perfect, they are light weight and so easy to work with. The bristles are super soft and close; which is a plus to give a smooth flawless foundation finish.

Let’s talk about foundation application with these gems. With my stipple I would use a fair amount of foundation and then blend with my beauty blender. I am so excited that with these Oval Brushes I use less foundation and have a fantastic application and blend (no beauty blender needed).

Contour like a pro! These gems are wonderful for contouring and blending.

Do you fight to get that perfect wing? I was overjoyed that I am able to get a sharp wing with these brushes!

The Balm and Essence Cosmetics

Hello Beauties ❤️ I am sorry I have been MIA. As mentioned in an earlier post I received some pretty exciting products in my Ipsy October GlamBag. I have had the chance to create an eye look with 2 of the products and I am very pleased with them.

The first product is The Balm Cosmetics Hot Mama Blush. Yes I said blush, but this product is multi use! Two product for the price of one, who doesn’t like that!

The colour is quite nice. It is a pink/peach with a hint of highlight to give your cheeks a glow or your eyes a touch of shimmer. With outstanding pigment Hot Mama last all day. I love that this product is powerful enough to stay but light enough to not crease on the lids.

The second product is Essence Superfine Waterproof Eyeliner.

This is a lovely precision eyeliner. It allows you to create perfect cat eye/winged eye looks. It has a wonderful fine tip and it is waterproof! The price is very reasonable as well at $2.99 this is a must have in your beauty vault.

I hope you enjoyed this post loves! You can follow me on Instagram for makeup looks.

Eyes on Fire *Review of Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow

Hello Beauties. I hope you are having a wonderful summer so far. Just a tip *With the temperature rising remember to drink lots of water, it is vital for your skins health. Let’s get to Urban Decay Fireball eyeshadow. I have been a huge fan of Urban Decay for a few years now. I love the pigment of their eyeshadows. What is pigments…pigments are fine, loose powder, they are usually shimmery, but can be matte as well. Pigments are the main ingredient in eyeshadow.

I received a sample of Urban Decay Fireball in my June Ipsy Glam Bag, needless to say I was very excited. I love the color, it is peach with a pink shift. This shade is available in a single at $19. Urban Decay Is well known for its multifaceted color. Here is what they have to say:

  • Even softer, amazingly velvety texture
  • Richer, more dense and decadent color
  • Smoother, more uniform pigment distribution and blendability
  • Longer-lasting, more crease-free wear

I agree completely. As with their other eyeshadows this shadow goes on smoothly and is long lasting. I love how it blends well with other shades and it can be subtle or bold.

I love makeup and when I come across a color or brand that makes an impression I love to share it. For me Urban Decay Fireball is a beautiful color to work with. *if you have blue eyes this is a color you must try!!

For this look I used Fireball on my eyes and also dusted my lip color with it.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a wonderful week. Let’s keep in touch you can follow me on Instagram for makeup looks.

Fallen Leaves * Review of City Color Eyeshadow Trio*

Hello all of you stunning beauties! I hope your week is going wonderfully, it has been a beautiful week and I have been enjoying the warmer weather.

Today I am going to review City Color Eyeshadow Trio in Fallen Leaves. I received this eyeshadow trio in a previous Ipsy GlamBag. To be honest when I first received it I wasn’t overly excited about it. I thought ok hmmm fall colours, not something I am interested in at this moment, but I decided to try them out. Don’t let the name fool you this trio is wonderful for all seasons.

I am so glad I didn’t wait till cooler weather to experiment with this eyeshadow trio. The brown in this trio is stunning.  It has a shimmery coppery affect, quite lovely. The colours complement each other wonderfully and look amazing on blue eyes. I cannot say how they look on other eye colours because my eyes are blue.

The pigmentation is very nice and it is long lasting. One application is all you need. At $5.00 this eyeshadow is budget friendly and is an absolute beauty bargain!  They offer two shade selections in this eyeshadow trio: Fallen Leaves and Blooming Flowers.

Here is what the company states:

City Color Eyeshadow Trio features three complimentary shades in one travel-friendly palette.

Available in limited quantities, these exclusive palettes are only available to subscribers of the ipsy GlamBag for January 2016 and directly from CityColorCosmetics.com. Collect both palettes for every day wear!

I agree with what the company has said. The packaging is compact so it can be added to your carry along makeup bag for when you are on the go, and it seals nicely so no worries about it opening.

The colors are complementary and can be used for everyday wear.

You can view this shadow along with the whole line of products at City Color Cosmetics

All in all this trio is a beauty YAY! Lets keep in touch on social media, you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Beauty Find

I was out and about shopping yesterday and came across L.A. Colors makeup at a discount store. I do enjoy finding a bargain, but normally I would have shied away from purchasing worried that it would not have pigmentation or lasting power.

The colors are vibrant and so I said what the heck. Still skeptical I did a swatch of the colour and to my amazement it is beautiful and the blue and pink are bright and stand out. The green is more subtle than and not as bold as the other two. Needless to say I am pleased with this purchase and I think I will be adding more L.A. Color products to my makeup vault.

Today I decided to use the eyeshadow to see how well they stand out on the eyes. I am shocked! The colors are very nice and you do not have to layer the eyeshadow for it to pop. I used the blue on the bottom lid, the pink in the crease and the green in the corners. What do you think about the look? I must say I am impressed with this eyeshadow. L.A. Color eyeshadow in Lotus has been a nice find to add to my eyeshadow collection.

Just in life you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Today I learned that applies to makeup as well. Just because something is less expensive doesn’t mean it is inferior. Well done L.A. Color!

I hope this post has been useful and will inspire you to enjoy color. Have a wonderful day.
